How can I secure my account with Duo 2-Factor Authentication?
Overview
Duo offers many options for two-factor authentication at U-M to meet different needs. We recommend that you enroll in a primary option plus a backup. Many people use the app on their smartphone as their primary method and enroll the landline at their desk as a backup.

- App for your mobile device that offers a "push" notification or passcodes
- Passcodes via text message
- Phone call-back
- Duo hardware tokens ( available for purchase at the U-M Tech Shop)
Most people find push notification via the Duo Mobile App to be the most convenient option.
