If you get this warning in a Microsoft Office product that you use. A common cause is your machine hasn't reached out to our server to re-authenticate your account in a while. A simple signing out and back in while on campus or VPN usually fixes this error.

How to sign out:
- Click on your account in the upper right corner
- Click sign out

- Click "yes" at the prompt. Make sure to save all open documents, powerpoints, spreadsheets, etc.

How to sign back in:
- Click "Sign in" in the upper right corner.
- Enter your UMich email into the Microsoft Sign in prompt.

Enter your UMich email password to finish signing in. You will be DUO prompted to complete the 2FA.

Please close the Office App you have opened, like Word, Powerpoint, or Excel and relaunch the app. You have now re-authenticated to all your Microsoft Office Products!
