Problem/Question
How do I change the hours for a specific day in for a LibCal space?
Overview
Add an hours exception to override the regular hours template.
Solution
Go to the dashboard.
- Select the top menu item "Spaces."
- Then select the "Booking Grid & Availability" tab.
Choose the Location of the Space you want to change.
Chose the Category. (Which will almost always have the same name as the space.)
Choose the space. (This is optional. Especially as most categories have only one space.)
Press "Go."
From the "Add Booking" drop down on the resulting screen select "Add Hours Exception."
Select the date of the exception.
Select the type of the exception. In most cases you'll chose "Closed" or "Custom Exception". "Closed" simply means that the space will not be available at all on the chosen day. "Custom Exception" will allow you to enter a different set of opening and closing times. If you need something with more opening and closing times a daily template will need to be made. If you don't have permissions to make one yourself open a ticket with IT and one can be made for you.
Click "Add New Exception" to finalize and save the exception.
To check the exception go to the date of the exception.
The changes should be visible, but you might have to scroll to the right to see the hours in question.
In this example the hours were originally 8am to 5pm, and now they are only 8am to noon.
This how it looks the public afterwards.
