Problem/Question
I am attempting to setup my Windows personal device to print to my department printer but I get the following error: "the credentials supplied are not sufficient"
Overview
To resolve the issue you must add the your credentials to Windows first and then go through the process of adding the printer.
Solution
Adding the Credentials
1. Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Windows Credentials. Select Windows Credentials
2. Select Add Windows Credential. Fill out the fields (server name, user name, password)
- Server Name: \\umd-ps1.adsroot.itcs.umich.edu\
- User Name: \UMROOT\(your uniqname)
