Problem/Question

The connection information for departmental / student organization websites has changed. Please follow this guide for the updated information.

Overview

There is no longer a web_files directory on login.umd.umich.edu, you will need to connect to vhost.its.umd.umich.edu instead.

Solution

• Make a service desk ticket so that we can ensure you are in the correct group to access the server.
• Update your connection information to use vhost.its.umd.umich.edu instead of login.umd.umich.edu. Also, update the authentication method to be keyboard-interactive or interactive instead of password.
  • You will need to be connected to a campus network or connected to the VPN in order to connect.
  • You will need DUO Two-Factor Authentication for Weblogin turned on.
• Your files will be located in /services/web/ and the specific location will be indicated in the service desk ticket.
