Problem/Question
Windows 11 requires a certain level of hardware in order to be supported. These hardware requirements relate to the model of processsor and TPM technology that exists.
Overview
Below is a list of computer models that ITS is aware that are not supported and would either need to be decommissioned or replaced with new hardware by Oct. 14th, 2025
If you are using an older computer and it is not on the list and you are unsure if it supports Windows 11 please contact the ITS Service Desk with information about the computer in question so we can help determine if it is supported. As a general rule any computer purchased within the last 5 or 6 years is supported by Windows 11 and should be upgraded ASAP.

Solution
If your device is not compatible with Windows 11, it will need to be replaced with new hardware before Microsoft ends support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.
To begin the process:
- Please speak with your department about purchasing a new computer.
- Submit a hardware recommendation ticket to receive a quote and assistance from the Operations Team in identifying a supported replacement.
