Navigate Schedule Planner and Register for Classes

From the My UM-Dearborn student portal, select Schedule Planner from the Quick Links area

Select the term you want to register for. If you want to register for more than one term at a time (for example, both summer and fall), you will need to repeat the process for each term

Select all parts of the term to ensure that you see all available courses

You can adjust the filters at the top of the page to display courses specifically by part of term, course status, modality, etc.

Add courses to your schedule by clicking +Add course. Add breaks (times you know you can’t have a class) using +Add break

Find courses by selecting the course subject and course number and clicking +Add course

Continue adding courses and/or breaks until you have the appropriate amount of credits in your list

Select the courses you want to add to your schedule using the checkboxes and then click Generate Schedules

Anywhere from 0-99 scheduling options may appear. Select View to look at them in detail

When you find a plan you like, click Send to Registration Cart

When you see this pop up, select Continue

This will take you back to the “Registration” page. Once your desired schedule has been sent to the cart, click on Register for Classes

Then select Plans

Here you will see all the classes you sent to the registration cart. Click on Add next to each class

Select Register for Classes at the top of the page

This will bring up the courses you’ve added in a schedule (left) and list (right) format. Click Submit to register

Classes for which the registration has been successful will display on the schedule view in color and on the list view in green reading “Registered”.
