Question

I purchased Adobe VIP licensed software, how do I activate it?


Overview

Through the ITS Software Store Adobe VIP licensed products such as Acrobat, Creative Cloud and others are made available to be purchased for an individual faculty to staff member. If you have purchased the software you will receive an email to notify that access is granted and provide a link for an installer. Once the software is installed (either by the user or with assistance from the Service Desk), it can be activated using the user's Adobe ID Personal Account.

There is another type of Adobe License, for entire departments, called Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA). If you have an ETLA license use the link at the bottom of this page to activate the software.

Solutions

1. Check Email: After purchasing the software you should receive an email with the link for the installer. You can install it your self or with assistance from the Service Desk.

 

2. Launch the Adobe Software, it will require a sign-in to activate the product. Press "Sign In Now".

3. Enter your uniqname@umich.edu email address and click "Sign in with an Enterprise ID".

4. Choose Adobe ID Personal Account.

5. Sign in with your uniqname and UMICH password. As this is a Weblogin service, it will require Duo Two-Factor authentication.

6. The Adobe software should be activated and ready for use on your machine.
