Problem/Question

I want to join Hyland Community to get access to Perceptive Content Training.


Overview

An account needs to be created to access training materials provided to the University of Michigan by Hyland.


Solution

Visit the portal page* to join Hyland Community.
*https://community.hyland.com/login?returnUrl=/customer-portal/28069

  1. Click on the "Create your Hyland ID" link.

  2. Fill out the form that pops up.
    1. Make sure to save the password you choose to someplace safe.
       
  3. VERY IMPORTANT!
    1. Use the name "University of Michigan" for the organization name.
    2. Do not include any reference to Dearborn.
      1. Dearborn has it's own portal. You do not want to be accidentally added to it.
      2. It's only for ITS and does not include training.

  4. You'll see this pop up.

  5. You'll eventually get an email like this. It's only a notification and you don't have to do anything in response.Screen Shot of email for pending review from Hyland
     
  6. Eventually you will get this email.
    1. It may take up to two days
    2. The email is requesting and HSI number.
    3. Be sure to reply with "28069"Screen shot of email requesting Hyland ID
       
  7. You will eventually receive this email notifying you that you have been approved.
    1. Again, it make take a day or two because this is not handled by automation.Screen shot of email confirming acceptance
