Problem/Question

How do I migrate my Zoom personal account to a U-M Zoom licensed/Pro account? How do I upgrade my Zoom Basic or Free account to the U-M Zoom account?

Solution

  1. Log into https://zoom.umich.edu/meeting.
     
  2. If prompted for your U-M Weblogin, enter your uniqname and UMICH password.
     
  3. A message will appear acknowledging that you are attempting to sign in to a Zoom account that is different from your current account. Click Switch to the New Account.
     
  4. A new message will appear with information you should be aware of before you switch. Click I Acknowledge and Switch.
     
  5. You will receive a confirmation request in your UMICH email account from Zoom. Click Switch to new account in the confirmation email.
     
  6. Click I acknowledge and Switch.
     
  7. You will see a message that your Zoom account switch was successful. Click Sign in Now (select sign in with SSO, if required).

Note: Eligibility for the UM Zoom service requires that you be a current faculty, staff, student, or a sponsored affiliate on the An Arbor, Flint, or Dearborn campuses.
